Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of statuary does Global Bronze create?
Our collection spans saints, figures of Jesus and Mary including the Madonna and the Pietà, crosses, angels, doves, kneeling soldiers, Saint John Paul II, and complete Stations of the Cross (Via Crucis) sets, along with non-denominational pieces. The full range is far too large to list, with saints of every kind and adaptable designs suited to any denomination or none at all. Many are extraordinary finished works by exceptionally talented artists, and we also design fully custom statuary for any figure or setting. Tell us what you are looking for, and if we do not already have it, we can commission it.
Can I choose from an existing piece, or commission something custom?
Both. We carry an extensive collection of finished statuary ready to select from, and we design fully custom pieces when you have a particular figure or setting in mind. We adapt to your space and your wishes, not the other way around. Pricing differs between an existing piece and a custom commission. What is FiberBronze™, and how is it different from traditional bronze?
FiberBronze™ is our fiberglass composite that carries the look of traditional bronze with practical advantages that let it go where solid bronze cannot. It is far lighter than cast bronze, which matters when an existing structure cannot bear the weight of a solid piece, and it typically costs about half to two-thirds the price of a comparable bronze statue. It is also exceptionally durable and proven in outdoor settings. You get the dignity and appearance of bronze with far more freedom in where and how you place it.
What is FiberMarble™?
FiberMarble™ applies the same approach to the look of natural marble. Solid marble carries the same weight and cost challenges as bronze, and FiberMarble™ answers them, with the appearance of marble in a lighter, more affordable composite that is rated for both indoor and outdoor settings. Like FiberBronze™, it can go where the weight or cost of solid material would otherwise rule it out.
Do you also offer traditional cast bronze and natural marble?
Yes. We work in traditional cast bronze and natural marble as well, and we do not position one material against another. Cast bronze, natural marble, FiberBronze™, and FiberMarble™ are all excellent choices, and the right one depends on your budget and the engineering requirements of the space. Speak with our team and we will walk you through the options.
Are the statues suitable for indoors and outdoors?
Both. Our statuary is rated for indoor and outdoor installation. FiberBronze™ and FiberMarble™ in particular stand up to outdoor exposure, which makes them well suited to gardens, courtyards, and open memorial settings as well as interior spaces.
What sizes are available?
Our statuary ranges widely in scale, from smaller devotional pieces around one foot to monumental works of twelve feet and beyond. We match the size to the setting.
What finishes are available?
For FiberBronze™ and FiberMarble™, the finish carries the look of bronze or marble. Traditional cast bronze can be finished with a patina and other treatments. We help you select the finish that suits the piece and its setting.
Can an existing or damaged statue be restored or duplicated?
Yes. In many cases an existing statue can be restored, and a piece can often be duplicated. This work varies widely from one statue to the next, so it begins with a one-on-one consultation to assess the piece and what you need. Speak with our team to start that conversation.
Is Global Bronze full service for statuary?
Yes. We are full service and fully customizable. A statue can be paired with a base, bronze lettering, and plaques to complete the memorial. We provide templates for the base, and we can handle installation for you. If you prefer to install the piece yourself, we can simply ship it. Tell us about your project and we will tailor the scope to what you need.
How long does a statue take?
For an existing piece where we already have the mold, production runs about three months. A fully custom statue takes five months or more, depending on the scope of the work. Speak with our team for a timeline on your specific piece.
